Saigon Motorbike Food Tour by Night

  • Duration: ~3 hours

  • Start Time: 6:00 – 6:30 PM

The local guide will come to your hotel and pick you up on motorbikes.
Or you can meet at the Saigon Opera House if your hotel is outside of Districts 1, 3, or 4.

Stop 1: Thich Quang Duc Monument

Located at 185 Cach Mang Thang 8 Road, Ward 6, District 3, HCMC.
This is a historical landmark where monk Thich Quang Duc self-immolated in 1963 to protest the persecution of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese regime.

Stop 2: Bánh Xèo

A crispy, savory Vietnamese pancake made with rice flour, turmeric, and coconut milk.
Filled with pork, shrimp, bean sprouts, and eaten with herbs and dipping sauce.

Stop 3: Grilled Banana (Chuối Nướng)

Grilled banana with coconut milk sauce – a warm, sweet-salty tropical dessert and one of Saigon’s local street food gems.

Stop 4: Bánh Mì

Vietnam’s world-famous street food – a baguette filled with pickled vegetables, meats, pâté, herbs, and sauces.
A perfect mix of French influence and Vietnamese flavor.

Stop 5: Nguyen Thien Thuat Oldest Apartment Complex

Built in 1968 by the U.S. government for soldiers.
A unique experience walking through one of the oldest apartment blocks in Ho Chi Minh City – a peek into local life and history.

Stop 6: Ho Thi Ky Flower Market & Van Hanh Area

Visit the biggest wholesale flower market in Saigon – vibrant, fragrant, and lively at night.
Enjoy local street snacks such as:

  • Crispy Banana Cracker

  • Grilled Oysters with black pepper sauce and with quail eggs

Accommodation: Hotel

07h00 – 07h30 | Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Fuel up for the journey ahead with a hearty local or international breakfast.
07h30 – 08h00 | Pick-up from your hotel
08h00 – 09h30 | Travel by bus to Cu Chi Tunnels, located about 70 km northwest of the city. Enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside.

Attend the most exciting history lesson ever on a Cu Chi Tunnels Tour! Dive deep into Vietnam’s past by venturing into the underground world that once played a crucial role in the country’s resistance efforts.

Built by local fighters during the Indochina conflict, the Cu Chi Tunnels served as a strategic base for the Viet Cong (National Liberation Front) during the Vietnam War. This complex system — over 220 kilometers in length — once housed command centers, living quarters, hospitals, kitchens, and hidden trapdoors.

🔸 Explore the hidden underground world of Vietnam’s guerrilla fighters
🔸 Learn about the challenging lives of tunnel residents and how they endured unimaginable conditions
🔸 Gain insight into Vietnam’s wartime strategies through a powerful, interactive experience
🔸 Understand the past and how it contrasts with today’s Vietnam

09h30 – 09h45 | Watch a short documentary introducing the history and construction of the tunnels.
09h45 – 11h30 | Begin exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels:

  • Crawl through a section of the original tunnel (optional)

  • Visit the secret cellar door, museum of self-made weapons, garment factory, and more

  • Optional stop at the shooting range for a live-fire experience (extra fee)

11h30 – 12h00 | Take a short break for rest and refreshments (at your own expense).
12h00 – 13h30 | Return to Ho Chi Minh City by bus.

Meals: Breakfast.

Accommodation: Hotel

07h30: After hotel breakfast, you will be taken to My Tho wharf. The motorboat takes you on the Tien River, passing by floating fish farm villages and the RACH MIEU bridge — a cable-stayed bridge spanning the Tien River and linking the two provinces of Tien Giang (My Tho) and Ben Tre together, and four islands: Long, Lan, Qui, Phung.
Stop by Con Lan (Unicorn Island) to visit the local honeybee farm and taste the unique honey tea.

After that, the electric cart will escort you to the fruit garden where you can try out the fresh tropical fruits (seasonal) and listen to traditional Southern music.
Next, experience the taste of the Mekong Delta when sitting on a rowing boat, weaving into the small canal, watching rows of water coconuts, and the simple landscape of the Mekong Delta.
Returning to the big boat, along the Tien River, the motorboat will take you to the province of Ben Tre, known as the “Vietnamese coconut island,” to visit the specialty of Ben Tre’s coconut candy oven.

12h00: Take a motorboat to the restaurant to have lunch with typical dishes of the Mekong Delta. Rest and bike around the village (optional).

14h00: The motorboat takes you back to My Tho wharf. On the way back, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, known as “the largest temple in Tien Giang.”

18h00: Tour ends. Return to Saigon hotel and you have free time for the rest of the evening.
